Junior Club Champs 2010

The Junior Club Champs 2010 were held on Friday 26, Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 March. The weather played its part in making the event a great success. We had particulalrly good weather on the Friday evening and on Saturday. All the age group matches were played on Friday and Saturday, leaving the Mixed Doubles to be played on Sunday. Although the start of play was delayed slightly on Sunday by damp courts everyone was good humoured and all the matches were played by the middle of the afternoon.

Congratulations to our winners in particular but also to everyone who entered and made the weekend such a great event. We had 55 entrants this year and it was fantastic to see such enthusiasm from our juniors and such a high level of tennis across all age groups.

Thanks to all our helpers who manned the courts and did cooking duties on the new barbecue – such an event would not be possible without the help of so many people.
