Parent & Child Tournament 2008

The annual Parent & Child tournament was held on Sunday 16 December 2007. As ordered, the fine weather showed up for a great afternoon of tennis.  There was a good number of entries in both the beginners and open classes.  The BBQ and drinks stand were kept particularly busy, with people refuelling after a number of close matches. Eamonn did a great job organising the day and kept things running smoothly.

The crowd was treated to two closely-fought finals, with John & Molly Steel taking out the beginners final, and James & Will Hughes prevailing in the open final. Both families won an hour free coaching with Marc or Dan, our resident coaches from Parun Paulik Tennis. 

Thanks to everyone who took part and who helped out on the day, with special thanks to Eamonn for his organisation efforts, and to Marc & Dan for donating their coaching services as prizes.
